How It Works:

A dermal filler is a smooth consistency gel-like filler that helps restore volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Face lifting effect can be achieved by using large volume of fillers, method known as liquid or volume lift. A treatment typically takes about 30 minutes, although time may vary depending upon the area being treated.

There are a variety of dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse, etc) that may be used depending on the results the patient may want to achieve, skin types and procedure requested. At the Madison Clinic we personally customize filler products and treatments for each client. Restylane, Juvéderm and Radiesse results will be seen immediately. Sculptra results are gradual and the effects of Restylane and Juvéderm last approximately 1 year, Radiesse 1-2 years and Sculptra up to 3 years.

Question: Can I be treated with dermal fillers if I have already had other injectable treatments done? (i.e. Botox)

Yes for some patients, this question must be addressed for each individual. It is possible that different treatments are used at the same time with dermal fillers or other cosmetic treatments for an all-over smoothing of wrinkles and facial lines and restoring of lost volume.
